Volume 2 premiered on July 24, 2014, following an exclusive screening of Chapter 1 at RTX on July 4, 2014.[7] The weekly release date and time for new chapters were the same as for Volume 1. The season concluded on October 30, 2014.

Volume 4 was announced by Gray Haddock on April 1, 2016, with the premiere set for Fall 2016.[13] Before the season officially began, the "Volume 4 Character Short" was screened at RTX 2016 and was later released online on October 3, 2016, the first "trailer" since Volume 1 to include a unique part of the story. Chapter 1 premiered on October 22, 2016, for Rooster Teeth "First members" (formerly "sponsors"), 24 hours later for members of the Rooster Teeth website, and one week later for the general public on YouTube. Weekly release day and time were the same as for Volume 3. This release schedule was continued throughout the Volume, which concluded on February 4, 2017.

At New York Comic Con 2017, it was announced that Volume 5 would be 14 episodes long, instead of the usual 12.[16] The season concluded on January 20, 2018. It is the final season to be released on YouTube, following various Rooster Teeth videos being subsequently demonetized.

On August 17, 2018, Rooster Teeth released the "Volume 6 Adam Character Short" prior to the season's premiere. Focusing on Adam Taurus, the short tells a unique part of the story similar to the original four trailers and the various Volume 4 & 5 character shorts.

Unlike prior seasons, Volume 6 did not originally air on YouTube following various Rooster Teeth videos being demonetized. Volume 6 episodes later began airing on YouTube on November 2, 2019, alongside the Volume 7 premiere on the Rooster Teeth website.

The seventh season premiered on November 2, 2019, concluding on February 1, 2020.[18] It is the first season since Volume 3 not to include a character short and the first without a post-credits scene.

The ninth season premiered on February 18, 2023, following a delay from a presumed late 2021 date, originally due to continued production slowdown amid the ongoing pandemic, in addition to production of the crossover film Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen.[23][21]

RWBY Chibi is an American animated comedy web series produced by Rooster Teeth Animation for Rooster Teeth. It is a spin-off of RWBY, where each episode consists of several scenes where aspects of RWBY's characters are usually exaggerated for comic effect. The series was first announced as part of Rooster Teeth's 13th Anniversary celebration on April 1, 2016 and premiered May 7.[1] In January 2017, Rooster Teeth confirmed the second season's premiere on May 13, 2017 on Rooster Teeth and May 20, 2017 on YouTube.[2] A third season premiered on January 27, 2018 on Rooster Teeth and February 3, 2018 on YouTube.[3]

On March 4, 2023 the series' fourth season made its debut with the episode "Cool as Coco" (Season 4, Episode 1) on the "Rooster Teeth Animation" YouTube channel. In the first episode's description, it is noted that it was "originally aired as part of Neon Konbini".

RWBY Chibi was announced by Gray Haddock in April 2016.[5] RWBY Chibi can be described as a comedy series consisting of two to five segments per episode. Each episode has a run time of about three to seven minutes. The series uses both the RWBY characters and world, but is animated in a different art style. RWBY Chibi is not considered to be canon, with characters repeatedly breaking the fourth wall. The first season premiered on May 7, 2016, and consisted of 24 episodes, which were aired weekly at the usual RWBY release time on Saturdays. It concluded on October 15, 2016, just one week before the release of the RWBY Volume 4 premiere. A second season of RWBY Chibi premiered on Rooster Teeth's web site on May 13, 2017. The third season premiered on January 27, 2018.[6]

The show was thought to have been cancelled midway through Season 3 due to the show's production workload being too much for the company on top of additional projects being undertaken by the animation department at the time.[citation needed] However, this rumor was then disproven when a fourth season of sorts was revealed as part of Rooster Teeth's new animation block Neon Konbini.

In 2023, a "fourth" season of the show began airing on the "Rooster Teeth Animation" YouTube Channel. Based on the description of the 1st episode ("Cool as Coco"); the fourth season seems to be isolated "RWBY Chibi" bits from the "Neon Konbini" series.

When I was a kid, it was Santa Claus and the county fair that gave me some of my best annual thrills. Now, it's the disc release of each season of Rooster Teeth/Cinedigm's mind-candy American anime series, "RWBY", the continuing adventures of those four multi-hued heroines Ruby Rose (red), Weiss Schnee (white), Blake Belladonna (black), and Ruby's sister Yang Xiao Long (yellow)--the latest of which being the 2-disc Blu-ray, RWBY: VOLUME 5. Here's the backstory: after a catastrophic war that almost destroyed everything, the world of Remnant has been divided into four kingdoms dedicated to maintaining peaceful relations. Also drawing them together is a common enemy, the Grimms, a never-ending army of terrifying supernatural beasts that constantly attack both urban centers and outlying villages, drawn by negative emotions such as fear, panic, and hatred. The main line of defense consists of hunters and huntresses, those born with various super-powers who train from a young age at special academies until ready to take on the Grimms. This is where we first met Team RWBY shortly before their academy was attacked and virtually destroyed by a combination of Grimms and a group of terrorists known as White Fang, made up of human-animal hybrids called Faunus under the command of a secret cabal of sinister villains. 041b061a72
